Aaron paints in bright colours giving a feeling of happiness, with quirky draft man ship that celebrates the beauty of unique difference.  He doesn’t want his art to be photo realistic rather painterly & ‘Post- Impressionist,’ capturing the character & essence of the subject.   His work is detailed but conveys a nice feeling of simplicity.  He tries to instill a sense of the place depicted, the fleeting light effects & atmosphere, or the feeling of talking to the portrait sitter to get a sense of their personality, character & essence.   He finds it great fun to try new art mediums, enjoying occasionally painting in different genres of art, sometimes using media photos as reference to fuel his creativity.  The purpose of his art is positive escapist therapy, wanting to ‘inspire’ others with mental health problems, that they can still live good, meaningful, & productive lives despite their diagnosis.  His art aesthetically conveys a feeling of a mind ‘well presenting,’ which Aaron feels gives a positive message.
